Joseph Stilwell, the four-star US Army general who fought side by side with China against the Japanese invasion in the 1930-40s, was a great friend of the Chinese people. Stilwell's grandson John Easterbrook, 82, a retired US Army colonel, exclusively shared with China Daily some stories about Stilwell's friendships in China, which Easterbrook said should be remembered by everybody.
