A report by the consulting firm Anderson Economic Group reveals that the automotive industry's supply chain has suffered due to the strike. This has resulted in reduced production by car manufacturers. Upstream workers in the supply chain have joined the strike, leading to layoffs among downstream workers. Suppliers, dealerships and consumers are all facing additional costs, contributing to an estimated total loss of around $4 billion.
